Andrei Maksimov was born in Petrozavodsk in 1995. Andrei's childhood was spent in Saint Petersburg. In 2007, Andrei enrolled at the Children's choir of TV and Radio of St Petersburg where he was a leading soprano-soloist for five years.
In 2012, Andrei as a baritone awarded the first prize of the Elena Obraztsova International competition for young singers and became a winner of the second prize of the Boris Shtokolov International competition. This year he became a participant of The Voice (Russia TV series, first season).
In 2013, Andrei Maksimov enrolled in the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov. St. Petersburg State Conservatory and in the Academy of young singers of Mariinsky theatre. In Mariinsky he participated in follwing opera productions: “Il barbiere di Siviglia” by G. Rossini (Fiorello), "Brundibar" by G. Krasa (Brundibar), "The Nose" by D. Schostkovich (Yardman, Sir) and so on. He performed with such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Placido Domingo, Thomas Zanderling and others. In Opera and Ballet Theater of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory he sang "Iolanta" by P. Tchaikovsky (Robert), "Betrothal in a monastery" by S. Prokofiev (Ferdinand), "Eugen Onegin" by P. Tchaikovsky (Onegin), "Cosi fan tutte" by W. A. Mozart (Guglielmo), "Carmina burana" by C. Orf (baritone), "Petite messe solennelle" by G. Rossini (bass), "The Love for Three Oranges" (King). Andrei is regular participant of International summer music festival "Opera for all".
In 2019 Andrei was a member of Academy of Modena state theatre Luciano Pavarotti, where he paricipated in masterclasses of Leone Maggiera, Mariella Devia, Michele Pertusi e Nicola Martinucci. In summer 2019 Andrei will sing production of «Viaggio a Reims» in Rossini opera festival (Pesaro) as a member of Accademia Rossiniana.
